There is no magic density figure. Most well-written pages land between 0.5% and 2.5% for their main phrase; anything far above that usually reads as repetitive to both people and search engines.

About the Keyword Density Checker

Density is a diagnostic, not a target. This checker counts single words, two-word and three-word phrases in your text and reports how often each appears as a share of the total, so you can see whether your writing leans too heavily on one phrase or misses your topic entirely.

Use it to spot accidental repetition and to check that the subject of the page is actually discussed. Writing to hit a specific percentage is a discredited tactic that makes copy worse.

How to use the Keyword Density Checker

  1. 1Paste the page copy you want to analyse.
  2. 2Choose whether to ignore very common filler words.
  3. 3Switch between single words, two-word and three-word phrases.
  4. 4Review the frequency table and total word count.
